ROOTED & RISING: A CAMPAIGN FOR THE OAKS ACADEMY

Hundreds of alumni are thriving in maturity, our reputation is excellent and we are faithfully true to our mission: providing a beautiful, Christ-centered education, accessible to all families.

Now, it’s time for The Oaks to rise.

We’ve identified three critical priorities that need your investment and support to better serve our students. It will take all of us together, but with your special Rooted & Rising gift, you can be part of fueling these strategic efforts to create an improved, lasting Oaks experience for generations of children yet to come.

Elevate the Student Experience

Children today are facing a different set of challenges than our first students back in 1998 but our role remains the same: to see every child as an image-bearer of God, not simply a mind to accumulate information.  

We must prepare students for secondary academic success and know and love every aspect that a child brings into the classroom, including their mental health and the unique pressures and challenges they encounter outside our doors.

  • Close the achievement gap with creative solutions

  • Provide scholarships to ensure accessibility for all children

Enhance Our Spaces

As caretakers of our beautiful, historic school buildings, we are keenly aware that investing in physical updates after decades of wear will promote a healthier and safer environment and directly contribute to our students’ improved academic outcomes.

As our school has grown, we also need a place to be in relationship together as One Oaks and meet our students’ athletic needs.

  • Fund much-needed restorations and improvements
  • Create the best possible learning environment for Oaks students
  • Build a new athletic facility and gathering place for Oaks sports and school activities
     
Establish an Endowment

Each year, we rely on tuition, Indiana Choice Scholarships, and the generosity of donors to meet our annual operating expenses. By creating an endowment, we can introduce a fourth, highly stable funding source that provides long-term financial security.

Creating The Oaks Endowment will mark our commitment to remain accessible, affordable, and excellent so future students can succeed.

*The Oaks Academy has structured a board-designated endowment fund which operates exactly the same way as a traditional endowment with the caveat that funds exceeding the 5% spendable can be withdrawn through a majority vote of the board in extreme circumstances. The Oaks Academy’s full intention is to treat this as a traditional endowment (not spending the principle but only the interest) unless truly dire circumstances arise.
